Terms of Use for the Ready App

1. The Service

Ready is an offline-first checklist application for shopping lists, packing lists, travel planning and everyday tasks.

Ready can be used entirely without an account. In that case your checklists are stored only on your device and never reach servers operated by the developer.

Creating an account is optional and enables cloud backup, synchronization across devices, shared checklists and connected services. These optional features are described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Price

Ready is currently provided free of charge. It contains no advertising and no in-app purchases.

Should paid features be introduced in the future, they will be clearly identified as such before you can purchase them, and these terms will be updated beforehand.

3. Your Account

Accounts are created through Google Sign-In. Authentication is handled by Google; Ready never receives or stores your Google password.

You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure. Anyone able to sign in to that account can reach the checklists you have synchronized.

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Ready account. Ready may be used without an account at any age, subject to the rules of the device it is installed on.

4. Your Content

Your checklists and their items remain yours. The developer claims no ownership of them.

By enabling cloud synchronization you permit the developer to store and transmit that content for the sole purpose of operating the features you have asked for: backup, synchronization between your devices, sharing with people you invite, and any connected service you have linked.

This permission exists only to run the service. Your checklists are not used for advertising, are not sold, and are not reviewed or monitored by the developer.

5. Shared Checklists

You may share individual checklists with other people by invitation. Anyone you invite to a checklist can see and change its contents according to the role you give them.

Share only content you are entitled to share, and only with people who should see it. You can stop sharing a checklist at any time in the application.

Content created by other people on a shared checklist is theirs, not the developer’s, and the developer does not review it.

6. Voice Assistants and Connected Applications

Ready can be connected to external applications, including the Amazon Alexa skill for Ready. Connecting one is optional and always starts with you.

A connection is made by signing in to Ready and explicitly approving it on a consent screen that names the application and lists what it is being allowed to do. A connected application receives a limited access token. It never receives your password, and it cannot sign in as you.

The permissions an external application may be granted are limited to the following, and the consent screen states which of them apply:

• viewing your checklists and their items
• adding items to a checklist
• marking items as done
• deleting items

A connected application acts on your behalf within those permissions. Anything it changes is treated as your own change. When you speak to a voice assistant, that assistant’s provider processes your request under its own terms and privacy policy, which the developer does not control.

You can disconnect an application at any time — for Alexa, in the Alexa app. Disconnecting stops further access immediately; it does not delete checklists the application created while connected.

7. Calendar Links and Notifications

Ready can optionally link a task to an event in your Google Calendar. This requires your separate approval of the calendar permission and can be declined without affecting any other feature.

Ready can optionally send push notifications about changes to checklists you share with others. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.

8. Acceptable Use

When using Ready, you agree not to:

• use the application for any unlawful purpose
• store or share content that infringes the rights of others or is unlawful
• attempt to gain access to accounts, checklists or data that are not yours
• interfere with the operation of the service, or place an unreasonable load on it through automated means
• reverse engineer or circumvent the security measures of the application or its interfaces

Access may be suspended where it is necessary to protect the service or other users, in particular in response to a serious or repeated breach of this section.

9. Availability and Changes

Ready is offered as it is, without a guaranteed level of availability. Cloud features depend on third-party providers and on your own network connection.

Because Ready is offline-first, the application continues to work on your device when cloud features are unavailable; changes are synchronized once a connection returns.

Features may be added, changed or removed as the application develops.

10. Ending Use

You may stop using Ready at any time. Signing out ends cloud synchronization; uninstalling the application removes the data stored on your device.

Deletion of an account and its cloud data is described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Liability

Ready is a tool for organizing everyday tasks and should not be relied upon as the only record of anything important. Keep your own copy of information you cannot afford to lose.

The developer is liable without limitation for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Liability for slight negligence is limited to the breach of an obligation that is essential to performing this agreement, and in that case to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for this kind of agreement. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

12. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Where you use Ready as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident.

13. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated to reflect changes in the application, new features or legal requirements. The current version is always published on this page together with its revision date.
